DUE:2011.11.28

Your proposal MUST include the following:
- Outline the concept. This should be self explanatory. I want to know as much detail as is necessary to understand your idea. If need be cite references, relevant artists & work, texts, etc.
- Provide the Working Title. (This can change as you work on the project. However, any final projects titled “Untitled” will receive an F, causing you to fail this class.)
- Explain your use of 3D motion capture. Previous projects have allowed for some leeway in digital medium to encourage experimentation and independent learning. However, you must use 3D motion capture data for the final, either captured on your own or taken from the sources we have been using.
- Detail your Schedule on a Calendar. This is most important for all time based work rendered in Maya. I need a detailed account of what days you plan to work on the Final and how long you think it will take you to create your project. THEN, I need a SOLID calendar date when you will start rendering. If you have not done very much Maya rendering in the past I suggest trying to finish as much of the Final as possible by 12.05.2011; that way I can help you render in class and you will also have all of that week and crit week to render frames. Take into consideration work done in After Effects or Final Cut Pro and rendering time for those programs. Try to create for yourself as much time as is humanly possible to account for errors, bad (or deleted) lab renders, corrupted project files, exploding hard drives, and general glitches, even if you are proposing glitches for the sake of glitch art.
- Minimum 300 words. For reference, this post contains exactly 301 words.
